It is a lavish space, a fireplace set in stone, plush carpeting and very spacious. Appearance: Appears in her mid forties, with her trademark pointy and dark rimmed glasses. Her blonde hair set in curls that she swears are natural, and her features are rather thin and pointy as well. She has a neat, trim figure, and dresses rather fashion plate. Personality: Rita is bubbly though aggressive, pushy and intuitive. Likes: Rumours, gossip, money, acclaim, lavish presents Dislikes: Integrity, censorship, nosy Gryffindors Brief Life History: Born in Godric's Hollow, Rita moved with her parents and three siblings to a mostly Wizard village near Kent. As many young witches before her she attended Hogwarts once she turned eleven, showing a particular knack for Transfiguration, and counting History of Magic as her best subject. Nearly expelled on more than one occasion, Rita dabbled in breaking the rules, sneaking into forbidden areas and invading the privacy of others. Due to depression, Rita nearly left Hogwarts when she was sixteen after her sister, to whom she was closest, passed away. She managed to scrape by her NEWTs and began training as an Auror. She did not last long in the training, still affected by the death, and started travelling. As she started to write travel books, she began to drink, and take vast amounts of illegal potions. After recovering from alcoholism and this dependancy on narcotic potions, she returned to writing travel books, and found her niche in revealing the dirty little secrets of hotel kitchens and the like. She was eventually picked up by Witch Weekly, and wrote freelance for the Daily Prophet, until eventually becoming one of their full time writers. She gained infamy for writing her slanted versions of the truth during Voldemort's second rise to power, as well as renown for getting scoops that no one else could. After an unexplained hiatus from writing after the Triwizard Tournament, she publish an interview with Harry Potter in the Quibbler regarding the return of the dark lord Voldemort. After that her name rarely popped up, and she wrote various travel guides and interviews under pseudonyms until her death in 2009, when she was stepped on by a hiker in the woods.
